Hey Guys! 🙂
I am back again with a book opinion. I promise other posts too, soon. 🙂 By the way, I recently came across a beautiful blog for book reviews and I was amazed how much people love reading. Indeed, reading is a complete pleasure in itself. 🙂
Coming back to this book, it is the 7th book that I read as part of the Brunch Book Challenge and as I said, I’ll be logging my opinion about every book that I read as part of this challenge. In case you want to participate in this challenge too, read up about it here.
This is the kind of book for which I want to force everyone into reading it. Now, the strange thing is that this is not the kinds (at least for me) which you will remember for a lifetime or which will surely feature in your favorites list. Still, I want you to read this. Well, basically, this is not something that will touch your heart for a lifetime but when you are reading it, you will enjoy and savor it to the core. It is a very intriguing and page-turner kind of fiction and this being my first John Grisham, I am definitely looking forward to more. He mostly writes novels about the law and legal cases. I don’t know about you, maybe you read a lot of suspense/thriller literature, but as for myself, I couldn’t get the ‘why’ part of the ending till the time it actually was explained. So, I am happy that this book kept me hooked till the end.
Also, what I loved was that this book gave a social message, an important one at that, just through means of a story. In case you care, *spoiler alert*, the legal case that John weaves in the book is against tobacco companies who make humans more & more addictive to cigarettes. Interesting topic, isn’t it?
In my opinion, it is a good read and you should definitely give this a try.
Take care & keep smiling 🙂
